*In response to the order by the governor of California, Albrecht & Barney’s physical office will be closed until further notice — we will be working remotely during this time and will have processes in place to ensure that you still have prompt accessibility to us during this time.*
When we first opened our doors in 1995, we decided that the best way to practice was by becoming experts in a single area of the law — estate planning. The firm has grown over the last 20 years, and we are the largest trusts and estates law firm in Orange County, but our philosophy has never changed. With five partners certified as specialists in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California, four attorneys with their Masters of Laws in either taxation or estate planning and two attorneys with extensive experience working at the Internal Revenue Service, we provide superior client service in all aspects of estate planning from both basic and advanced estate tax planning, including business succession and charitable planning, through the trust administration and probate processes, as well as representation of beneficiaries, trustees and individuals in court and in front of the Internal Revenue Service.
The key to our success is the desire to help clients create estate plans that reflect their goals and life’s passions. When a family comes together after a death and realizes that everything is in order, we know we have done our job. We strive to make that a reality for every client and his or her family. That is not to say that a significant amount of time is not spent on advanced estate and gift tax planning strategies, but, while we are known for our cutting edge estate tax reduction techniques, it is our ability to explain these complicated strategies in an understandable manner that sets us apart.
In the end, it is all about relationships. We pride ourselves on developing meaningful and long-lasting relationships with our clients and their families. As a result, we can design plans that maintain relationships between family members, business partners and others, both during our clients’ lives and after their deaths. We are there for our clients from the beginning of the planning process, through the end, and even beyond for future generations.
